Job Title: Senior Staff Geoscientist

LHR Americas is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Geoscientist to join our Unconventional Resource Assessment and Data Solution Division (URADSD). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans to support the de-risking of unconventional fields from exploration to development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for advancing unconventional exploration and appraisal programs to full-field development projects.
  • Collaborate with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to technical peers and management through presentations and written reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related sciences.
  • At least 15 years of experience, with 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning.
  • Experience in managing and de-risking a portfolio of tight sand or shale opportunities from exploration through development.
  • Strong understanding of geological and engineering factors that determine success within unconventional plays.
