Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Service Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of modular units. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.


Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct floor repairs, including tile installation and maintenance.
- Perform wall construction and repairs.
- Install kitchenettes, toilets, and sinks.
- Execute exterior steel siding work.
- Fit and install windows, doors, moldings, and hardware.
- Clean and maintain modular units.
- Carry out yard and shop maintenance tasks.
- Handle materials efficiently.
- Engage in general, rough, and finish carpentry, as well as framing.
- Undertake additional duties as required.


Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general construction or as a handyman (experience with modular units or trailers/RVs is an advantage).
- Proficient in the use of basic tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong team collaboration skills and a positive work ethic.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites within the local service area during work hours.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, along with a criminal background check.
- Certifications in fall protection, First Aid, and WHMIS are beneficial.
- Forklift/tow motor certification is a plus.


Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending and lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Capacity to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to complete physically demanding tasks, including repetitive movements and lifting.


Additional Skills

- Proficiency in French, both verbal and written, is advantageous.
