Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Service Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of modular units. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety.


Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct floor repairs, including tile installation
- Build and repair walls
- Install kitchenettes, toilets, and sinks
- Perform exterior steel siding work
- Fit and install windows, doors, moldings, and hardware
- Clean and maintain modular units
- Carry out yard and shop maintenance
- Handle materials effectively
- Execute general, rough, and finish carpentry, as well as framing
- Undertake additional duties as required


Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general construction or as a handyman (experience with modular or trailer/RV units is a plus)
- Proficient in the use of basic tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality work
- Willingness to travel to customer sites within the local service area during work hours
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, along with a criminal background check
- Certifications in fall protection, First Aid, and WHMIS are advantageous
- Forklift/tow motor certification is a plus


Physical Requirements

- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending and lifting of up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks, including repetitive movements and lifting


Additional Skills

- Proficiency in French, both verbal and written, is beneficial
