Farm Supervisor Job Description

Crop Defenders Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of our farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Farm Safety Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Financial and Production Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and production records to track farm performance and make informed decisions.
  • Client Negotiations: Negotiate with clients to provide high-quality agricultural services, including crop production and livestock management.
  • Agricultural Operations: Supervise and oversee the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and effective crop production and livestock management.
  • Quality Control and Production Records: Maintain quality control and production records to ensure high-quality products and efficient farm operations.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Machinery and Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective farm operations.
  • Apiary and Honey Harvesting Experience: Manage the apiary and oversee honey harvesting operations to ensure high-quality products.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field.
  • Health Benefits: Health care plan provided by Crop Defenders Ltd.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
