About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sawmill Labourer to join our team at Imperial Shake Co Ltd. As a Sawmill Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the production of wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed and Maintain Equipment: Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to ensure smooth production.
  • Wood Product Handling: Sort, pile, and transport wood products with precision and care.
  • Scrap Removal: Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing to minimize waste.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Training and Support
  • On-the-Job Training: Will train to ensure you have the necessary skills to excel in the role.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Indigenous Support: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
