About the Role

Pacific Coast Cedar Products Ltd. is seeking a skilled Sawmill Labourer to join our team. As a Sawmill Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed and Load Equipment: Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines with wood products, ensuring efficient production and minimizing downtime.
  • Material Handling: Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials into equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Wood Product Sorting and Transportation: Sort, pile, and transport wood products to designated areas, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Scrap Removal and Recycling: Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Participate in diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Youth Awareness Training: Engage in awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Indigenous Cultural Competency: Participate in cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
