About the Role:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Academic Support Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive career development programs and services to support students in their academic and professional pursuits.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to design and deliver innovative learning experiences that enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and advising to students on career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development.
  • Design and deliver workshops, seminars, and online courses on career development, job search skills, and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners to create opportunities for students to gain practical experience and build their professional networks.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practices in academic support services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and research in career development and academic support services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in career development, academic support services, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering effective career development programs and services.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Knowledge of labour market trends, workplace standards, and recruiting practices.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to new situations.
