IT Support Specialist Job Description

DigiVie is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients and their IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support existing clients and their IT infrastructure.
  • Perform technical assessments and document systems for new and existing clients.
  • Track and resolve support requests through effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage projects, such as building and deploying physical and virtual servers and IP telephony systems.
  • Perform proactive preventative maintenance tasks on computers, servers, network infrastructure, etc.
  • Continually educate yourself through our career program on technology and IT security.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years' technical experience in the support of information technology solutions.
  • Rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office suites / 365.
  • Rudimentary understanding of networking technology and theory.
  • A valid Class G driver's license and vehicle for travel throughout the National Capital Region.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft server operating systems from 2012R2 and higher, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Active Directory, Group Policy, remote desktop services, virtualization, etc.
  • Virtualization deployments (Hyper-V / VMWare).
  • Installation and support of data backup systems, AV platforms, etc.
