Patient Care Manager Orthopedics

About the Role:
The Patient Care Manager Orthopedics is a key member of the Lakeridge Health team, responsible for the management of G6, a 35-bed inpatient surgical unit, and the Inpatient Surgical Float Team (ISFT). This team provides care for surgical patients across Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Ajax-Pickering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement unit and program processes to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage staff and develop business goals, including operational efficiencies and interdisciplinary team functioning.
- Develop and support the implementation of evidence-based practices to achieve excellence in patient care.
- Lead effectively and create a high-performance culture through change management strategies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in a health-related discipline or business-related degree.
- Master's degree or current enrollment in a Master's program (preferred).
- Current registration from the appropriate regulated health professional association.
- Proven recent clinical experience.
- Proven track record of achieving results that improve the organization and inspire confidence and commitment.
