Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator

Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) have merged to form CPKC, a truly North American railway. We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Linux Administrator to provide operational support, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and expansion of our Linux environments. The successful candidate will work closely with our architecture group to design and validate new designs and installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and advice on capacity planning and future installations and design
  • Provide direction to automate and orchestrate future use of Linux environments
  • Configuration management using Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, and Desired State Configuration (DSC)
  • Scripting languages including PowerShell, bash, and python
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 to 15 years of infrastructure experience
  • 1 to 3 years of virtual infrastructure experience
Preferred Knowledge:
  • Virtualization technologies using VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper V
  • Design and configuration of converged infrastructure
  • Cluster experience with SLES and RH
  • Storage technologies using Dell/EMC and Netapp
  • Protocols including CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and FC
  • Cisco networking products and technologies
