Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at AXA Group. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for servicing a renewal book and producing new business through exceptional underwriting practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders to evaluate the current book of business and set a short- and long-term course of action.
  • Ensure the achievement of continued profitability and growth of the portfolio by underwriting new and renewal submissions.
  • Work with agents and brokers to identify targeted accounts and increase opportunities in preferred classes of business and segments.
  • Proactively advise, assist, service, and follow up with clients and brokers on insurance and risk management matters.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and claims staff to provide insight on complex risks.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve profitability of the portfolio.
  • Effectively manage relationships with clients and broker partners to drive new business and renewal retention.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) required; professional designations preferred.
  • Extensive underwriting experience in Miscellaneous Professional Liability and Architects & Engineers Professional Liability, policy development, broker management in the respective line(s) of business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, networking, marketing, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, producers, and brokers.
