Job Title: Network and Security Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Specialist to join our team at NexGedia Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement scalable network engineering solutions;
  2. Configure, maintain, and support telecommunications infrastructures;
  3. Participate in WiFi architecture and design projects for various customers;
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners, strategic partners, and other complementary partners;
  5. Actively participate in solution delivery: pre-configuration, detailed architecture, installation, configuration, integration, validation, troubleshooting, progress reporting, and documentation;
  6. Install, configure, and test solutions at customer sites: problem resolution, ticket opening, and tracking, and escalation processes as required;
  7. Analyze, design, and document network security solutions;
  8. Acquire and maintain skills and certifications.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of networking and security experience;
  2. Five (5) years of experience with telecommunications technologies;
  3. Mastery of LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies;
  4. Designed and deployed T2/T3/T4 data center networks;
  5. Knowledge of Level 2 protocols (Ethernet, Spanning-tree, ARP, MAC);
  6. Level 3 routing (OSPF, BGP);
  7. Knowledge of network security technologies (firewalling);
  8. Wireless solutions;
  9. Knowledge of Fortinet, Cisco, CheckPoint solutions (a plus);
  10. Written and spoken bilingual English-French: presentations and frequent writing of documents;
  11. Excellent interpersonal skills;
  12. Creativity and critical thinking;
  13. Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and clients;
  14. Ability to keep abreast of the latest technological developments;
  15. CCNP certification a plus.
