**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable individual to join our team as a Rail Park Attendant at Fernie Alpine Resort. As a key member of our resort operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable experience of our guests in the rail park.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide regular maintenance and upkeep of rail park features and skier/boarder cross
  • Ensure all signage, fencing, and park entrances are in order and compliant with safety regulations
  • Inspect features to ensure they are safe for public use
  • Build and maintain take-offs, landings, and other rail park features
  • Prioritize safety above all else, adhering to the Alpine Responsibility Code and educating guests on park rules and regulations
  • Collaborate with other resort departments, including grooming, lifts, and ski patrol
  • Maintain accurate records of daily maintenance and upkeep
  • Communicate with mountain operations to ensure seamless park opening and closing
  • Conduct regular rider counts and monitor park entrance
  • Ensure the rail park area remains clean and well-maintained

**Requirements**

  • Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance or Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors certification required
  • Freestyle certification, an asset
  • Terrain Park Builders course, an asset
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, with physical stamina
  • Dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic professionals with strong customer service skills
  • Ski industry experience, an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
