Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Resort Base Operations and Staff Housing Attendant at Fernie Alpine Resort. This live-in position requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff by maintaining cleanliness and organization of public areas, including washrooms, base area, restaurants, dispatch, daycare, offices, administration, and maintenance shop.
  • Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity, providing excellent customer service and promoting resort amenities and services.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in staff accommodation building, including vacuuming, mopping, and emptying bins.
  • Work with the HR team to ensure vacant rooms in staff accommodation are clean and tidy before new tenants check-in.
  • Ensure proper use of WHIMIS practices and control incoming and outgoing traffic at key intersections and in parking lots.
  • Assist Events Team and other departments as required, providing support and contributing to the success of resort operations.
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook.
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program.
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Physically capable of manual labor and lifting heavy loads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
