Vocational Instructor

Okanagan College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Vocational Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional instruction and professional development to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality instruction and professional development to students in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Develop and revise curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of our students and the industry.
- Provide guidance and support to students through practicum placements, student advising, and evaluation of student work.
- Participate in curriculum development, student registration, and other professional duties as required.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in the field and promote teaching excellence.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- Current License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator.
- Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment.
- Five or more years of experience working with young children.
- Experience in curriculum development and strong community partnerships are assets.
- Established strong community partnerships.
- Several years of recent teaching experience.
- Exceptional teaching record with demonstrated learner-centred teaching philosophy.
