We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Save-on-Foods Sushi Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance on kitchen operations and procedures.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
