Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Governance
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the faculty, ensuring alignment with the university's goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with senior university administrators to advance the faculty's interests and priorities.
- Academic Programs and Research
- Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality academic programs, including undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
- Foster a culture of research excellence, encouraging faculty members to pursue innovative and impactful research projects.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations to advance the faculty's research agenda.
- Faculty and Staff Management
- Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse and talented faculty and staff team.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty members in their teaching, research, and service activities.
- Oversee the management of faculty and staff resources, including budgeting and personnel administration.
- External Relations and Fundraising
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community partners.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for fundraising and revenue growth.
- Represent the faculty and university in a positive and professional manner.
- Education
- Hold a doctoral degree in law or a related field.
- Experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in academic administration, preferably in a senior leadership role.
- Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Have a strong understanding of academic programs and research, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Be an effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
