About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Build it Better Home Services Ltd. as a Framing Carpenter - Residential Construction Expert.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, supervising other workers and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, maintaining accurate records and making recommendations for future projects.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including residential homes, industrial plants, and other facilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
