Job Summary

Mrs. R Bakery Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our bakery team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our bakery, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food service management.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
