Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team at Top Tomato Foods. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to farming and crop care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots to ensure quality control.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track and record farm activities.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Work site environment: The work site environment is outdoors, with exposure to wet/damp conditions, odours, dust, heat, noise, and cold/refrigerated temperatures.
  • Physical capabilities: The job requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
Personal Suitability:
  • Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing work conditions and priorities is essential.
  • Team player: The ability to work collaboratively with others is necessary.
Language:

The language of work is English.

Work Hours:

The work hours are 40 to 60 hours per week.
