The Role: Financial Analyst - Infrastructure Planning

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will be an integral part of our dynamic FP&A team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our infrastructure portfolio by playing a key role in forecasting, planning, budgeting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial aspects of projects, serving as the primary finance contact for Value Creation & Asset Management, Fund Reporting, and Financial Reporting teams.
  • Collaborate with the Value Creation & Asset Management team to develop and maintain operational financial models for projects, including valuations.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing insightful commentary on budget variances and market trends.
  • Continuously improve processes through automation and efficiency enhancements, minimizing risk of error.
  • Analyze the impact of revenue and cost assumptions on forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop and refine financial models to project critical performance metrics such as cash flow, margin returns, operating returns, IRR, ROIC, MOIC, NPV, etc.
  • Support ad-hoc investor requests, project analysis, and portfolio-level analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance is required.
  • Pursuit of finance/accounting designations (e.g., CPA, CFA, CBV) with demonstrable progress.
  • Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills are essential.
  • Prior experience in FP&A is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively within tight deadlines as part of a team.
