We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at CRH Canada. As a key member of our Business Unit, you will provide strategic decision support and financial guidance to our Controller and management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall business strategy of the Business Unit, actively participating in strategic, operational, and tactical activities.
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit Management Team and the Divisional Controller's team to drive business objectives.
  • Conduct financial analyses and participate in management decisions to achieve business goals.
  • Assist the Controller in ensuring the integrity of the Business Unit's financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and internal and external audits.
  • Provide full financial transparency to all stakeholders and recommend appropriate courses of action when results differ from plan.
  • Assist the Controller in ensuring controls are in place to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Lead, manage, and execute the financial planning & budgeting processes of the Business Unit.
  • Ensure Business Unit compliance with accounting and financial policies (IFRS, A/R, Inventory, Capital Expenditures controlling and monitoring).
  • Educate Business Unit Management & Staff on financial processes/policies and the financial impact of business & operational decisions.
  • Drive process improvements and focus on cost controlling & reduction initiatives.
  • Assist the Controller in working capital and cash flow management.
  • Participate in special projects or assignments in the Business Unit, Division, or Corporate Office as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration – finance or an equivalent combination of studies and experience.
  • Accounting designation required (CA, CGA, CMA, or CPA). MBA is an asset.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in Manufacturing/Construction industries or in a similar role is an asset.
