Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning and organizing the grocery department to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensuring accurate pricing and signage of merchandise to prevent errors.
  • Following proper food safety and handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe shopping environment.
  • Assisting with ordering, clearance, and inventory management to ensure efficient stock levels.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
