Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Store Supervisor to join our team at Navs Grocery. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Direct and manage a team of sales associates, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve staff skills and productivity.
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
    • Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed, and that the store is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
    • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve sales performance.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities to drive sales growth.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with regular exposure to cash handling, customer service, and sales activities. The role will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.
