About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Beaver Bank Station. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our food and service meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and budgeting decisions
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres, staying up-to-date on trends and best practices
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Dependability and initiative, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
