About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: You will have completed an Other Trades Certificate or Diploma and have a strong foundation in Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technology/Technician.
  • Experience: With 2-3 years of experience in a related field, you will have a solid understanding of Truck and Bus Driver/Commercial Vehicle Operator and Instructor principles.
  • Apprenticeship Training: You will have completed Pre-Apprenticeship, Level One, Level Two, and Level Three Apprenticeship Training.
  • Transportation and Travel: You will hold a valid driver's license and have a strong understanding of transportation and travel information.
  • Green Job: As a Green Job, this role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Health Benefits: You will be eligible for a comprehensive health benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, and vision care benefits.
  • Work Terms: This is a temporary work term with 37.5 hours per week.
