Job Title: Lead Carpenter

We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team at ServiceMaster Restore of Northern NB. As a key member of our construction division, you will be responsible for effectively executing all projects and ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
  • Take precise measurements and calculate material needs
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to specifications
  • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items
  • Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring they are level and compatible
  • Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items, and install them as designated
  • Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Communicate effectively with internal personnel, including managers and project managers
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of company products and services
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and reporting requirements
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and workmanship
  • Establish positive relationships with clients and adhere to company policies
Requirements:
  • College diploma in a related field
  • Minimum three years of experience in a lead carpenter role
  • Red Seal Carpenter Certification an asset
  • Construction experience in disaster restoration industry considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
