Duties & Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to comprehend project requirements.
- Take measurements and calculate material quantities.
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to specifications.
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
- Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring they are level and compatible.
- Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them as designated.
- Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance.
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
- Provide excellent customer service and complete on-site production tasks in a timely manner.
- Keep internal personnel informed of daily schedules.
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of company products and services.
- Before leaving, provide customers with necessary safety information or instructions concerning equipment left at the site.
- Participate in weekly safety meetings with the Project Manager.
General
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance in client-facing activities.
- Provide exceptional service throughout the project to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Establish positive relationships with clients when possible.
- Adhere to company workplace policies.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education Requirements
Education Required: College Diploma
Other Education/Certification/Training preferred: Red Seal Carpenter CertificationWork Experience Requirements
Work experience required: Minimum three (1) years of experience in a lead carpenter role
Job-related experience required: Construction experience in the disaster restoration industry considered an assetPhysical Requirements
This position requires a moderate level of physical exertion. Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required.
Working Conditions
There is a moderate risk of exposure to adverse working conditions. Working outside of normal hours may be occasionally required to deal with emergencies.
