The Role:

This position is centered around client engagement, requiring a solid understanding of the industry and a commitment to providing exceptional service while accurately processing orders in the computer system.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage product knowledge to suggest alternatives to customers when their initial requests cannot be fulfilled; actively upsell when possible. Engage in continuous product training to maintain comprehensive industry knowledge. Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure they are informed about order timelines and notify them of large orders that may impact inventory levels. Organize customer orders for pickup at the counter and process counter returns efficiently. Assist the warehouse team with order picking, receiving, shipping, or storage as needed. Ensure the Counter Zone is restocked daily. Participate in counter promotions, prepare the showroom for counter days, and manage monthly special changes, including pricing and displays. Engage in pager duties and Saturday counter shifts as scheduled.

About You:

2-3 years of product knowledge experience in the Plumbing and/or HVAC sectors. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service to foster and maintain beneficial relationships with suppliers and customers. Excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks and manage extensive paperwork. Ability to achieve strategic goals and objectives with minimal supervision. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with high-pressure demands for results. Ability to exercise sound judgment, assess the significance of situations, and respond appropriately. Proficient understanding of all areas of the ERP (Eclipse) systems. Competent in using standard office equipment, including computers, phones, copiers, and faxes.
