As a member of the Complex Risk Solutions Group (CRSG), you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering a comprehensive suite of services to our clients.

The role of a Risk Management Engineer within this team is to offer specialized knowledge regarding client operations to effectively address risk.

This encompasses not only risk transfer solutions but also various risk treatment strategies, including risk enhancement initiatives.

Conduct risk evaluations of facilities and management systems independently and in collaboration with Underwriter Engineers representing program participants.

Review and analyze Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL), Probable Maximum Loss (PML), and Non-Loss Exposure (NLE) assessments of client facilities.
Provide property risk management guidance to clients on targeted risk control subjects for effective risk reduction.
Generate Engineering Survey Reports utilized for insurance procurement.
Develop client risk profiles and strategic documentation to support efficient insurance program renewals.

Perform risk management design evaluations on new initiatives and facility enhancements to ensure cost-effective loss mitigation investments are made at optimal times, thereby maintaining ongoing insurability.

Recommend risk enhancement strategies and initiatives that align with client business objectives.
Conduct research on specific property risk management topics to aid client risk mitigation efforts.
A degree in engineering and a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of residence is required.
Approximately 10 or more years of experience in Property Risk Management insurance, particularly with Natural Resource Industry clients (including oil and gas, mining and metals processing, chemical processing, and power generation, including renewables).
Ability to travel internationally to visit client facilities as necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language proficiency relevant to client operations is advantageous.
Experience in other areas of Risk Management, such as machinery, liability, and construction, is beneficial.
