Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at A Journey into Enchantment Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff to ensure effective management of employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations.
  • Coordinate HR department activities to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Direct staff to achieve optimal performance and productivity.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Motivate staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure smooth execution.
  • Review HR projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Train staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations to ensure fairness and equity.
  • Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Advise senior management on HR-related matters.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years or more of experience in occupational health and safety.
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Large workload and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
