Key Responsibilities:

  • Train staff to enhance their skills and knowledge and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations to ensure accurate and fair compensation.
  • Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent and promote a positive employer brand.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance staff skills and knowledge and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Advise senior management on HR-related matters to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in occupational health and safety management.
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Large workload and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Accountability and ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
