About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team at BC Hydro. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate estimation and management of project costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimation: Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Cost Management: Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate cost risks, and develop strategies to optimize project costs.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • Reporting: Provide regular cost reports to stakeholders, including project managers, executives, and other relevant teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, finance, or economics.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in cost estimation, cost management, or a related field.
  • Workplace Information: Hybrid work arrangement.
  • Other Benefits: Other benefits, including a permanent employment contract and a competitive salary.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week.
