Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial oversight of budgets, including strategic planning, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding accounting practices and institutional financial policies.
  • Interpret and implement policies and procedures to make informed independent decisions.
  • Forecast and plan financial activities, integrating budgets from multiple revenue sources.
  • Develop and enhance processes for financial administration activities.
  • Apply relevant financial management guidelines and comply with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Identify and analyze discrepancies in data, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay informed on updates to policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus on accounting or a combination of equivalent experience; accounting designation is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial budgeting and accounting.
  • Proven experience with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Expertise in complex financial data modeling and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify critical issues and solve problems independently.
  • Experience interacting with various organizational levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including advanced formulas, functions, and pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Background in cost accounting is beneficial.
