About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as the President and Vice-Chancellor of Brock University. As the chief executive officer, you will be responsible for leading the university's strategic direction, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the university, aligning with its mission, vision, and values.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the university's reputation, academic programs, and research initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners.
  • Oversee the university's financial management, ensuring sound fiscal practices and responsible resource allocation.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Terminal degree in a relevant field, with a strong track record of scholarly achievement.
  • Significant experience in senior academic leadership, with a proven ability to lead complex institutions and governance structures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
