We are looking for a skilled Business Continuity Specialist to enhance our operational resilience at Control Risks. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fortifying our client's security framework by refining business continuity initiatives and addressing various security requirements.
This position is structured as a contract role.
- Contribute to the creation, upkeep, and execution of resilience strategies, including business continuity frameworks, impact assessments, and procedural documentation.
- Facilitate, observe, and evaluate regular mock-disaster drills to assess the effectiveness of current plans and strategies.
- Evaluate the impact on and risks to critical business operations to determine acceptable recovery timelines and resource needs.
- Assist the Client event security team in ensuring the safe and successful execution of events, ranging from significant internal gatherings to major public occasions.
- Conduct assessments of venues, with a focus on the local area, while also considering limited evaluations at other locations as necessary.
- Create tailored issues management playbooks for specific events.
- Where appropriate, assist in the development of broader corporate initiatives, including executive protection and travel risk management.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5-7 years of experience in government, corporate security, or a related capacity.
- Experience in event security or close protection.
- Capability to comprehend and address threat-related factors in diverse event environments.
- Ability to provide thoughtful and timely guidance in high-pressure situations.
