Job Description:

As a Senior Wealth Planner at Wellington-Altus, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive wealth plans for our high-net-worth clients. Your expertise will guide clients in articulating and achieving their short and long-term goals. You will maintain current knowledge of wealth planning processes, including financial, education, insurance, and risk management, retirement, tax, and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with existing and potential clients to understand their goals and objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of the wealth planning process and related regulations.
  • Drive the wealth planning process and continuously improve the client experience.
  • Conduct the discovery process, including document gathering and client meetings.
  • Identify and enter client information into planning software.
  • Manage wealth planning deliverables.
  • Review and present wealth plans to clients.
  • Identify outside assets and referral opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other professional advisors.
  • Develop relationships with Centers of Influence.
  • Foster intergenerational wealth management.
  • Assist in developing and presenting seminars.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on wealth planning.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of wealth planning experience.
  • Income tax and insurance background an asset.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and business owners.
  • Professional designations such as CFP, TEP, or CLU are assets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and planning software.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to travel 0-5% of the time.
  • A background check may be required.
