Job Title: Total Wealth Planner

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Total Wealth Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Wealth Management group, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning advice and support to high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver end-to-end goals-based financial plans to clients, including gathering key data and information, preparing and analyzing financial plans, and presenting related strategies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and champion for financial planning, providing ongoing professional advice on complex strategies and fostering collaboration among advisors and relationship managers.
  • Build professional relationships with external experts and internal colleagues to provide optimal service on complex planning matters.
  • Maintain financial planning professional practice standards and internal service level agreements, remaining current on all financial planning related topics and following standard procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
  • University degree
  • Accredited financial planning designation (CFP)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a high net worth financial planner
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning software
Desirable Qualifications:
  • TEP designation
  • Life Insurance license
  • Professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA, LLB)
  • Canadian Securities Course
  • Additional estate and/or tax courses
