Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Lifeguard to join our team at the City of Kamloops. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our community members and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide lifeguarding services at our aquatic facilities
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
  • Teach swimming lessons and promote water safety
  • Work collaboratively with our team to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for our community
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 16 years old
  • Current National Lifeguard (NL) Award - Pool Option
  • Current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current CPR – C Certificate or equivalent
  • Current Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) Certificate
  • Current BCRPA Aquatic Fitness certification
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $25.60, which includes 14% in lieu of benefits, vacation, stat holidays, and health time. This is a permanent on-call position, and we may hire multiple candidates.
