Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering and technology department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of automated systems within our manufacturing operations. This is a unique opportunity to work on a greenfield project, where you will have significant leadership opportunities and input into the development of our automation support team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Promote Health and Safety
    • Develop and implement health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with our manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to develop and implement automated systems.
  • Develop and Document Automation Systems
    • Design, develop, and document automated systems, including PLC and HMI programming, SCADA systems, and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Train and Support Onsite Super Users
    • Train and support onsite super users on the use and maintenance of automated systems.
  • Develop and Lead a Team of Automation Specialists
    • Develop and lead a team of automation specialists responsible for the documentation, maintenance, monitoring, and support of automated warehouse management systems.
  • Develop Monitoring and Management Dashboards
    • Develop and implement monitoring and management dashboards to facilitate the proactive identification of potential issues.
  • Coordinate with Vendors and Stakeholders
    • Coordinate with internal and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and support of automated systems.
  • Communicate with Employees
    • Communicate with employees to gain feedback on the performance and functionality of automated systems.
  • Ensure Compliance with Security and Regulatory Requirements
    • Collaborate with our information security team to ensure automated environments adhere to approved OT security, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices and frameworks.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements

  • Progressive Experience in Automation and ICS
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical or automation role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong understanding of automation and industrial control systems, including PLC and HMI programming, SCADA systems, and manufacturing execution systems.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to lead improvement and commissioning of new and existing equipment.
    • Ability to assist in installing, upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software, on new and/or used equipment used in automated manufacturing systems.
