About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at 2847764 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Bidding
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors
    • Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions and bids
  • Project Coordination
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
    • Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate estimates
  • Cost Management
    • Prepare and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and other computer software systems
    • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. construction management, engineering)
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
