Job Summary

We are seeking a professional to fill the role of Project Developer. The Development team is responsible for bringing renewable energy projects to a construction-ready stage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Support the development of various renewable energy projects across Canada.
  • Site Identification: Assist with the identification of new project sites.
  • Pre-Construction Planning: Support overall planning and pre-construction permitting of various renewable energy projects across Canada.
Key Tasks/Duties
  • Legislative Research: Develop an understanding of federal, provincial, and regional legislation and policy related to permitting various renewable energy projects.
  • Proposal Development: Support the delivery of requests for proposals, development permits and environmental assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with technical consultants, regulators, and other parties.
  • Reporting: Review, summarize and prepare reports on technical documents pertaining to renewable energy development.
  • GIS Analysis: Operate various GIS software programs to assess in identifying new project sites.
  • Visual Assessments: Produce maps for potential and proposed sites.
  • Industry Software: Use specialized industry software to model noise, shadow flicker and visual assessments of new project sites.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental: Uphold all aspects of Natural Forces health, safety & environmental program in every aspect of work.
Requirements
  • Experience: Anticipated level of experience 1-3 years.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree with a background in science, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Excellent communicator, presentation skills, ability to problem solve, strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to initiate tasks independently.
