About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Alliston Contracting Ltd. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using a variety of techniques and tools to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation: Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including brush painting and roller painting tools, to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, underground, at heights, and in cold/refrigerated environments.
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including residential and commercial settings.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
