Position: Sales Manager for High-Pressure Equipment

LOCATION: Southwestern Ontario

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office, Customer Locations, Workshop, Yards (Regular exposure to diverse environments)

TYPE: Permanent; Full-time

OVERVIEW:

The Sales Manager for High-Pressure Equipment will play a crucial role in promoting and facilitating the sales and rentals of our high-pressure equipment across the designated territory.
This position will act as a representative for the high-pressure equipment product line and will also be tasked with delivering technical assistance and product expertise to clients and internal teams.
This role reports directly to the Director of Sales, Industrial.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Extensive technical knowledge regarding water-blasting equipment and associated accessories and applications (parts and pumps)
  • Mechanical proficiency with some familiarity in heavy machinery
  • Proficient in utilizing internet research tools
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, complemented by outstanding customer service and sales abilities
  • Self-driven and results-focused
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Capable of planning and executing tasks independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion while working
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to a flexible schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL license
  • Must possess or be willing to acquire a passport

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in an Outside Sales/Sales Manager capacity, ideally in Industrial Equipment Sales
  • Familiarity with the complete sales cycle (prospecting, demonstrations, quotations, deliveries)
  • Experience with high-pressure water-blasting equipment and related accessories and applications (parts and pumps)
  • Exposure to a heavy equipment/heavy truck work environment is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols when working with heavy equipment specializing in high-pressure water blasting
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Ability to navigate long sales cycles effectively

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all sales activities within the assigned territory, focusing on year-over-year sales growth in line with established objectives
  • Collaborate and engage effectively with the Industrial team and customer support
  • Maintain and service existing accounts while ensuring consistent customer communication
  • Identify, develop, and nurture new customer relationships
  • Conduct demonstrations and safety training as necessary to effectively represent the industrial product lines
  • Participate in industry events, training, or trade shows to stay informed about products and represent the company
  • Prepare forecasts and reports related to the assigned territory
  • Promote special products and marketing campaigns
  • Assist in the rental process of high-pressure equipment and components
  • Support the Industrial Rentals process
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

Travel Expectations:

  • 80% - 90%
  • Cross-border travel between Canada and the US required
