Job Title: Pastry Cook

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Alberta LTD. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods for our restaurant. This includes determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Physically demanding
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Work under pressure
