Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and promote a high standard of safety practices
  • Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), participate in all safety briefings, and engage in daily tailgate discussions
  • Perform thorough inspections of equipment prior to operation
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, carry out minor repairs in the field, and relay significant concerns to maintenance personnel
  • Maintain an impeccable driving record
  • Be prepared to work extended periods away from home
  • Be available for overtime work as required
  • Exhibit flexibility in adapting to varying shifts and work conditions
  • Travel to various work sites across multiple provinces

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid Class 1 driver's license
  • Maintain a clean driving record for a minimum of five years
  • Have at least five years of relevant experience
  • Adhere to safe driving practices in accordance with company policies
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (E-logs) for pre-trip and post-trip documentation
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow established safety protocols
  • Experience operating winch trucks
  • Experience with lowbed trailers
  • Proven experience in heavy haul operations
  • Capable of loading and unloading equipment with minimal supervision
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Possess excellent observational skills and a keen attention to detail
