Job Summary

Fas Freight Carriers is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of cargo.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining effective communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate records.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company standards.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid passport
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Medical exam
