Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Fas Freight Carriers is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of cargo.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring efficient communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid passport.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Drug test.
  • Medical exam.
Work Environment:

Fas Freight Carriers offers a physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel cross-border, internationally, and overnight, with a willingness to work 40 to 60 hours per week.
