Job Summary:

Kent Building Supplies, a leading retail building supply chain in Atlantic Canada, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our retail store operations, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a team of retail store associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Develop and implement effective retail store strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  3. Manage store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.
  4. Collaborate with the buying team to select and purchase merchandise that meets customer needs and drives sales.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  6. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of retail store associates.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  1. 5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a building supply or home improvement industry.
  2. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  5. High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree preferred.
