About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Rock-it Concrete Ltd. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our poured concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets our quality standards
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure accuracy
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, including tamping and smoothing
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to secure the concrete in place
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from the elements
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to ensure durability and longevity
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain our high standards
  • Tamp concrete using electric vibrators to compact and smooth the surface
  • Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement and prepare the surface for new concrete
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to achieve the desired finish
  • Measure lumber to ensure specified thickness, length, and width to ensure accuracy
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to facilitate the construction process
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the concrete finishing industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a physically demanding role
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work at heights
  • Valid safety certifications and a strong commitment to workplace safety
